Audi Revolut F1 Team is the official factory team of Audi, as the brand enters the FIA Formula 1 World Championship for the first time in 2026.  
 
The team is based in three locations: the power unit is developed by Audi Formula Racing GmbH at the Audi Competence Center Motorsport in Neuburg, Germany; the chassis is engineered and race operations are managed from the state-of-the-art facilities of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, Switzerland; while the Audi Motorsport Technology Centre UK in Bicester, United Kingdom, provides a foothold in the heart of 'Motorsport Valley', with direct access to top F1 talent and key strategic partners.

In this role, you will help build the proprietary geometry automation capabilities that accelerate car development, reduce manual engineering workload, and enable faster design iteration across aerodynamics, design, simulation, CAD, and PLM workflows.

You will work at the intersection of computational geometry, software engineering, CAD/PLM integration, and high-performance motorsport engineering. Just as importantly, you will work closely with the engineering user base: presenting ideas, explaining solutions, gathering feedback, actively seeking testers, and helping users adopt new tools with confidence. The tools and services you develop will support a geometry tooling ecosystem used by hundreds of engineers and contribute directly to the speed, quality, and repeatability of F1 car development.
   
This position for the Audi Revolut F1® Team is based at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil (Switzerland).​​​​

Your mission

  • Develop computational geometry algorithms and engineering tools for surface creation, transformation, splitting, validation, and geometry preparation
  • Build reliable applications and services for designers, aerodynamicists, simulation engineers, and CAD/PLM users
  • Integrate geometry workflows with CAD, PLM, and the existing Digital Solutions software stack
  • Improve automation for geometry quality checks, feature detection, interface validation, and assembly-related workflows
  • Contribute reusable platform components for client-side engineering applications and server-side geometry services
  • Translate complex engineering intent into robust algorithms, maintainable software, and intuitive workflows
  • Collaborate closely with engineering users to understand pain points, present concepts and solutions clearly, gather feedback, coordinate user testing, and drive adoption under the time pressure of F1 development cycles
  • Proactively engage with the user community to identify improvement opportunities, validate assumptions, and ensure tools solve real engineering problems in practical day-to-day workflows
  • Help establish scalable foundations for future automation, autonomous geometry services, and AI-assisted engineering workflows

Your profile

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Computational Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong programming skills in C#, C++, and/or Python, with the ability to write clean, reliable, and maintainable code
  • Experience with computational geometry, CAD geometry, surface processing, meshes, spatial data structures, or geometric modelling
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex 3D geometry problems into practical software solutions
  • Experience developing engineering applications, automation tools, or software used by technical users
  • Ability to collaborate directly with engineers, understand domain-specific requirements, and convert them into robust software capabilities
  • Experience with CAD kernels or geometry libraries such as Open CASCADE Technology, CGAL, or similar will be considered a plus
  • Knowledge of aerodynamic design, CFD preparation, mesh generation, simulation workflows, or motorsport engineering would be nice to have
  • Confident communicator who can speak with users, present technical ideas in an accessible way, facilitate feedback sessions, and build trust with a diverse engineering user base
  • Proactive mindset towards user engagement, including seeking out testers, encouraging feedback, and supporting adoption after release
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where quality, delivery speed, and operational reliability matter
