Audi Revolut F1 Team is the official factory team of Audi, as the brand enters the FIA Formula 1 World Championship for the first time in 2026. 

The team is based in three locations: the power unit is developed by Audi Formula Racing GmbH at the Audi Competence Center Motorsport in Neuburg, Germany; the chassis is engineered and race operations are managed from the state-of-the-art facilities of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil, Switzerland; while the Audi Motorsport Technology Centre UK in Bicester, United Kingdom, provides a foothold in the heart of 'Motorsport Valley', with direct access to top F1 talent and key strategic partners.

This position for the Audi Revolut F1® Team is based at Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil (Switzerland).

Your mission

  • Learning the fundamentals of a Formula 1 race team mechanic within the sub-assembly field is the core focus of this traineeship.
  • Active contribution to the meticulous assembly, teardown, and ongoing maintenance of advanced F1 chassis components is required on a daily basis.
  • High-precision measurements and regular service life interval checks must be conducted using specialized metrology instruments.
  • Progressive responsibility for the build and maintenance of complex rear axle assemblies will be assumed over time.
  • Provision of critical trackside support during racing events constitutes a major milestone following the training period.
  • Management of several mechanical car assemblies from initial preparation to regular services falls within the department's duties.
  • Ensuring the seamless delivery of prepared assemblies to the final Car Build group is essential for track operations.
  • Close collaboration with internal stakeholders, including the Race Team and Design Office, is fundamental to the role.
  • Independent execution of assigned technical tasks with minimal supervision is expected after the integration phase.

Your profile

  • Completion of basic mechanical training as an automotive mechanic, mechatronics technician, or agricultural machinery mechanic is mandatory.
  • Outstanding manual dexterity combined with a careful and forward-thinking working style is a prerequisite for this position.
  • Proven experience in the application of precise measuring instruments is necessary to verify engineering tolerances.
  • A solid technical and mechanical understanding of high-performance automotive systems is required.
  • Basic knowledge of operational software such as Microsoft Excel, Word and SAP is considered a beneficial asset.
  • High levels of motivation, proactivity, and resilience are needed to thrive in the high-pressure environment of Formula 1.
  • An open-minded, solution-oriented and results-driven mindset is expected from all members of the sub-assembly group.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal operational hours is required due to the nature of the racing calendar.
  • Proficiency in both English and German is essential for effective communication within the international race team.
